Research into potential target audience.

Rating 15 is suitable only for 15 years and over. In this rating no specific theme is prohibited. Strong language can be included in films of this rating but such as ‘fuck’, but stronger terms such as ‘cunt’ will only be acceptable when justified. Nudity is allowed in a sexual context but with no strong detail. Scenes including sexual activity are also allowed but again without strong detail. Strong references to sexual behaviour can be included only in a verbal context. Weapons should not be promoted. Violence can be strong but dwelled on the infliction of pain and severe injury. Strong gory images are unlikely to be acceptable. A 15 rated film can not promote or encourage drug misuse but drug taking may be shown moderately.
A 18 rating is suitable for 18 years and over only. A 18 rating includes everything from a 15 rating, but can also include strong sexual detail, sexual violence, details of violence, and strong drug abuse details.
My film will be aimed at ages 15 and above. The rating of my film will be 15 this is so it can attract a wider audience. I’m choosing 15 rating over 18 because my film will not be including strong sexual detail, clear detail of violence, or drug abuse. My film is going to be a physiological thriller, this is because at the box office other physiological thrillers have done very well.
